TUBING AT ARENAL RIVER

Tubing adventure starts with an ancestral encounter with a member of the Maleku tribe. Go Adventure guides will take you through the forest to the starting point of the path by the river, on a walk that will open your senses and filled with nature knowledge.

Navigate your own adventure paddling with your own hands a tube, running 2 Km along the Arenal River canyon. You will be surrounded by extraordinary vegetation, rock formations and small waterfalls. Rapids class 1, 2 and 3.

WHITEWATER RAFTING.

There are many possibilities to see at a lot of wildlife, including monkeys, iguanas, sloths and many tropical birds such as ospreys, hawks, kingfishers, orioles and toucans. SPORT FISHING AT ARENAL LAKE
Rainbow bass, Tilapia, Machaca.

 

Fishing Lake Arenal is an experience of a lifetime for the serious angler or novice. Lake Arenal is world-famous for a spectacular fish called the rainbow bass, or guapote, in Spanish. Lake Arenal also has another hard-fighting fish called machaca, which looks like a pirhana on steroids with its rows of razor sharp teeth.
You fish at the base of Arenal Volcano, close enough to see and hear lava and boulders roll down the mountain. Most days the volcano has small eruptions of ash and steam that makes this a memorable fishing trip.

VENADO CAVES ADVENTURE.
Under ground expedition.

 

For those people that would not matter get wet and muddy, in this fascinating adventure underground to only 45 minute from La Fortuna, we will take you through narrow passages and incredible labyrinths, chambers where we will see the famous formation of rock named "La Papaya" and other stalactites and stalagmites that they surely will astonish to everybody. Also you will see spider sand bats which are frequent in this place.

HIKING TO RIO CELESTE
4 hours walk through the forest.

 

We leave early in route to Rio Celeste, we’ll arrive at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, were we’ll begin our 5 miles hike (approximately 4 hours) through the tropical rain forest.  We’ll arrive “Los Teñideros” of the Rio Celeste, the site where two streams of crystalline water come together and form the heavenly color blue that gives the river its name.
We’ll return through trails, rich with ecological wonders that lead us to the “OLLAS”openings in the earth, beautiful of admiring; we can take dip in the natural hot springs all while observing the attractions of  Tenorio Volcano.

We’ll continue our hike through the jungle to seek out the volcano’s furnace vents that expel gases of extreme high temperatures.  On our decent we will get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall whose color makes it one of a kind!  Our final reward is an exquisite lunch at the end of our journey.

SAFARI FLOAT TRIP.

Experience the peacefulness of the forest traveling on Peñas Blancas River, with the opportunity to observe many animals like: monkeys, sloths, iguanas, tortoises, crocodiles, and several types of birds. Our boat doesn't have motor, this way you will enjoy of the journey quietly rowing and taking photos, while you enjoy of drinking and tropical fruits without disturb the animals.

In this tour will be accompanied by experienced naturalist, who will explain many fascinating details about trees, plants, birds and other animals. This is a half-day tour especially designed for people with the limited amount time.

ARENL HANGING BRIDGES
Suspended bridges and a trail.

 

The Arenal Hanging Bridges tour takes place on a 600 acre reserve filled with lush vegetation and a variety of birds and animals which your experienced guide will help you spot. The trail itself is 1.9 miles (3.1 km) in length, crossing nine fixed bridges and 6 suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of 7 degrees so that anyone can walk it.

ECO CENTER, DANAUS
Small nature.

 

Ecocentro Danaus is a Biological Reserve that develops conservation programs, training environmental education, sustainable use of the land and production. There are trails through secondary forest, where you can see in his natural habitat a wide variety of plants and animals. One of the main attractions of the place is the butterfly’s farm, with a special site for the display of larvae, pupae and eggs. Danaus Ecocentro reproduced about 30 different species of butterflies. We protect a natural water spring which is another major component of Ecocentro. It's a special place to observe birds, especially waterfowl, alligators and iguanas, basilisks, this like comes from a natural spring that remains on the site and home to hundreds of species and has been documented by the UNA and UNED as nationally important site for nesting water bird colonies.

QUADS ADVENTURE - ATV
Enging your day.

 

The Quads Adventure ATV tour not only gives you the opportunity for adventure and fun but also includes nature and unique views of the majestic Arenal Volcano (visibility permitting). The trail you will traverse goes through pastureland at the base of the volcano from which you will have numerous opportunities to view the volcano before eventually arriving at Lago de Los Lirios (Lilly Lake) which has the distinction of being the only lake in the area that contains sulfur residues from the volcano.

From there you will continue on the trail passing through Tropical Humid Forest giving you the opportunity to observe the area′s flora and fauna before arriving at lookout point where we will have drinks and fruit for you. From this lookout point you will enjoy one of the best views of the volcano and some of its most recent flows as your expert naturalist guide tell you about the volcano′s history and characteristics. After two hours of combining adrenaline with nature you will return to where you started on the ATVs. Enjoy your stay in Costa Rica.

CANYONING
​Extreme Adventure.

 

We start off the adventure by assisting you into your "Petzl" harness and giving you your "Piranha" rappelling gear, "Pro-Tec" helmet and gloves. Next, your professionally-trained bilingual guides will give you a thorough safety talk about proper techniques and rappelling moves. Then we do a practice rappel down an easy, 15-ft. waterfall, so you can get the hang of it.

Keep in mind, you′ll be using some rock climbing moves as we make our way through this gorgeous slot canyon - some parts of the canyon are less than 5-ft. in width! Remember to use your arms, legs and "bum!" You′ll descend down 5 more waterfalls until you get to the grand finale... the biggest waterfall over 210-ft high. The water will splash all around you as you make it to the bottom, feeling incredibly exhilarated. It′s then a short 10-minute walk up the side of the canyon to where your tropical fruit and water await you and then you get treated to a delicious home-cooked lunch.
